The Tri City BBQ Fest is so much more than a BBQ Contest alone. It’s one of Western Iowa’s premier tourism events each year! Featuring two fun filled days of; FREE Live Concerts, a Hog Wild Car Show, Kids Games & Activities, a KCBS BBQ Contest, Special Entertainment and refreshing Cold Drinks! With everything going down at the Tri City BBQ Fest we’re going to need some help to feed the masses! Need to Know Info for Food Vendors

NEW THIS YEAR! Food Vendors can sell DRINKS and BEVERAGES!
NO glass and NO alcohol please!

Booths/Trucks/Trailers/Tents

  1. Each vendor is allotted the size of space you signed up for. Please ensure you select a Food Vendor Space large enough to fit your food serving needs.
  2. Vendors are responsible for their booth and the area within their Food Vendor Space.
  3. A “BBQ BUCKS ONLY” sign (provided by the festival) must be shown on the vendor’s booth.
  4. Guy wires or cables used for support of vendor booths, must be visibly identified for safety.
  5. Vendors must set-up on Friday between 10am to 3pm
    (Vendors are encouraged to begin selling food immediately after setup but no later than 4pm)
  6. Vendors agree to be open during the festivals operating hours:
    Friday: 4pm-11pm
    Saturday: 10am-11pm
    (Vendors are encouraged to stay open until 1130pm to Midnight for the post concert crowd)
  7. All menu items and prices should be clearly posted.
  8. Vendors must provide their own garbage cans & bags and keep their Food Vendor Space clean. Garbage will be picked up by Tri City BBQ Fest Volunteers.
  9. Tri City BBQ Fest determines the location of all vendor booths and will provide seating for patrons in a central location at the festival.
  10. Please be prepared for all weather conditions. The Tri City BBQ Fest will be held rain, wind or shine!

Fees

  1. Fees for Food Vendors are by Food Vendor Space size & Power Requests:
    | $150-Standard 10’x20′ | $200-Medium Large 20’x20′ | $250-Large 20’x30′ | $300-XL 20’40’ |
    | $25-20amp | $50-30amp | $75-50amp |
  2. Vendors will be notified in writing of their acceptance. In the event that a registration is not accepted, the registration fee will be refunded.
  3. Vendors are responsible for collecting and paying all related sales tax and certifies that they are registered with the Iowa Department of Revenue to collect sales tax.
  4. Vendors must agree to use the “BBQ BUCKS” monetary system, a NO CASH system that uses tickets instead of cash for patrons making purchases at the Tri City BBQ Fest.
  5. Vendors agree to one of the two following pay-out methods:
    1. After Event – Get 85% of your proceeds paid 1 week after the Tri City BBQ Fest
    2. At the Event – Get 80% of your proceeds paid on the final day of the Tri City BBQ Fest

Insurance

  1. Vendors will provide a copy of applicable liability insurance. Vendor agrees to indemnify and hold the Tri City BBQ Fest, KCBS, Chamber & Development Council of Crawford County, City of Denison and all sponsoring agencies harmless from all claims, damages, costs and liabilities that arise from or in connection with Vendor acts or omissions.
  2. The Tri City BBQ Fest is not responsible for the loss or damage of Vendors property, equipment, or supplies whether attributable to theft, vandalism, spoilage, weather or any other cause.

Electricity & Water

  1. The Tri City BBQ Fest adheres to the NEMA standard for all electrical requests and all food vendors must supply their own power cords and adaptors. Power hookups are limited and will be given at a first come first serve basis.
  2. Access to water is limited and cannot be guaranteed to all food vendors. All food vendors requiring water in order to provide their food or drink products are highly encourage to contact the Tri City BBQ Fest to ensure water access will be available at their Food Vendor Space.
  3. Vendors must work with the Tri City BBQ Fest to meet their electrical and water requirements.

Health, Sanitation and Fire

  1. Vendors must comply with all health, sanitation and fire regulations required under local, state or federal law.
  2. Vendors will obtain all necessary vending and food permits and provide a copy of permit to the festival.
  3. A food inspector will be present at the festival to check on the compliance of the food vendors and their booths.
  4. No alcohol is allowed to be sold by Food Vendors and no beverages should be sold in glass bottles or containers.

Publicity

  1. The Tri City BBQ Fest has the right to identify all vendors as participating vendors and use the vendor’s business names and trademarks in advertising and promoting the Tri City BBQ Fest.
  2. The Tri City BBQ Fest does not guarantee sales, anticipated crowds or any other expectations.
